Some Achievements in Hyderabad Test Matches:

* Polly Umrigar scored the First Double Century (223) for India, in 1955. Also it was first century for Ind vs Nz (Infact, it was the first Test match between Ind and Nz)
* AG Kripal Singh scored 100* on debut, in 1955. It was the 3rd century by an Indian on debut. (Now Ind has 12 debut 100 scorers)
* Polly Umrigar(223), Vijay Manjrekar(118), AG Kripal Singh(100*) scored centuries in the first innings of the Match in 1955. It was the first time that 3 Indian Batsman have scored a century in the same innings of a test match.
* Subhash Gupte finished with bowling figures of 7/128 in first innings in 1955, which was then the 2nd best bowling figures for Ind in Test cricket, after Amar Singh's 7/86 in 1934
* Harbhajan Singh scored 111*(116) consisting of 7 sixes, which is the second highest number of sixes hit by an Indian batsman after Navjot Singh Sidhu's 8 sixes vs SL in 1994 (Other Indian to have 7 sixes is Virender Sehwag in his 293 vs SL in 2009)
* Harbhajan Singh's 7 sixes + century + 5 wickets in the match is only such instance in Test History
* Brendon McCullum scored 225 in 2010 in the 3rd innings of the match, this is the only other Double Century in India from an opposition team batsman in 3rd innings of a match after Andy Flower's 232* in 2000 at Nagpur.
* Ravichandran Ashwin finished with match figures of 12/85 in 2012, which is the 3rd cheapest 12 wicket haul in test history after George Lohmann's 12/71 and Muttiah Miralitharan's 12/82
Note: These were some of the bigger achievements in those 5 test matches played in Hyderabad(Both at LBS and RG stadiums)
