There is no second thought on the fact that Ricky Thomas Ponting have been the best captain and one of the batsman of this generation. Often he is termed Australian Legend after Sir Donald Bradman and a close competeter of the as said "God of Cricket" Sachin Tendukar and Brian Lara. In captaincy he is often compared to Allan Border and Steve Waugh. He is said to be one of the best fielder and the best to have at slip.
There are a lot of things which Ponting make special as a cricketer. His captaincy, batting under presure, motivating youngsters, bringing new faces to cricket, etc, etc... All cannot be described right here.
